An analysis commissioned by NDS found that every dollar spent on the NDIS delivers a return of $2.25 in terms of job creation and small business spending.

Conducted by independent think tank Per Capita, the report found that the Scheme has delivered $52 billion into the economy last financial year.

It also flagged that every billion dollars cut would result in over 10,000 jobs lost.

The news comes as a warning to any “self-defeating” cuts, which have been signalled by the Morrison government.

The report was published as NDS launches a new campaign to showcase both the transformational social and economic benefits of the NDIS.
