Following high-level negotiations, the NDIA will implement an immediate response for organisations in financial stress as a result of NDIS payment delays.Organisations experiencing cash flow difficulties should contact NDS. This is welcome relief for organisations requiring access to immediate funding while the NDIA works on solutions to the range of issues identified through the provider and participant pathway reviews.NDS will continue to urge the NDIA to extend an existing participant plan if a plan review (or SIL quote assessment) is not completed prior to the scheduled end of plan date. This has previously been the practice but no longer seems to be used in all regions.NDS will undertake further work with the Agency in January to identify payment solutions that can be implemented while NDIS systems are being upgraded.
