Free Quality and Safeguarding and Zero Tolerance Events
NDS is hosting free, regional forums on the practical actions you can take in your organisation to prepare for the introduction of the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding framework.
During the forum a representative from the Disability Services Commissioner will be presenting an overview of the key findings arising from the Disability Services Commissioner's inaugural review of disability services to people who died in 2017-18.
In addition, the Office of Senior Practitioner (OSP) to discuss how you can use the Zero Tolerance Recognising Restrictive Practice films and other resources to understand their impact of restrictive practices and work towards reducing and eliminating their use.

NDS will also host a Quality and Safeguarding forum in Parkville on 4 December 2018. Again, the focus of the morning will be to hear from a number of organisations regarding the practical things that Service providers can be doing now to prepare for the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework. Miranda Bruyniks, Complaints Commissioner from the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission will be presenting on the day.

NDS will also launch new films on Responding to Abuse with support from Victoria Police, Women with Disabilities Victoria, VALID, SCOPE and other organisations working to support people with disability who have experienced abuse or violence.
