The South Australian Government is seeking feedback on the Guardianship and Administration (Miscellaneous) Amendment Bill 2021 [PDF].

The primary purpose of the Bill is to update the principles underpinning the Guardianship and Administration Act 1993 (G and A Act). In addition, the amendments will reflect best practices around guardianship and administration, and achieve greater consistency with the language and approach recommended by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities as well as other South Australian legislation relating to persons with impaired decision-making capacity.
