Don’t miss out, last chance to register to attend the NDS WA Conference
The biennial Conference is the premier disability sector conference for WA and will feature more than 400 delegates, 67 speakers, 37 sessions and 23 exhibitors. Registrations close in a week – so this is your last chance to register.
The conference program has been designed in collaboration with NDS member organisations and directly reflects the particular topics raised by them as the most pressing issues for the sector right now. The program will deliver practical strategies and solutions for the current period of disruptive change, with a focus on excellence, quality and safeguarding, improving employment outcomes and vibrant diverse and sustainable services.
Along with an exciting array of talent and expert speakers from local WA services, some highlights of the two day event include the keynote address from Honourable Stephen Dawson MLC, Minister for Environment; Disability Services; Electoral Affairs. Of particular interest on day one is a session by Robert Fitzgerald AM, NSW Ageing and Disability Commissioner who will discuss lessons learnt from previous Royal Commissions and share his thoughts on the future of the not-for-profit sector.
Concurrent sessions throughout the conference will allow you to choose your learning outcome, with the following streams on offer:
- Communities & Influence
- Employment for people with disability
- Mainstream interface
- Quality & Safeguarding
- Law & Independence
- Managing in difficult circumstances
