As part of its review of the Disability Employment Services (DES) Program, the Australian Government set up a DES Reference Group (the Group). The Group’s role was to provide options for reform of the DES Program considering how service systems, related stakeholders and, most importantly, jobseekers and employees with disability interact currently with DES. NDS was a member of the Group.

The Group was chaired by the Disability Discrimination Commissioner Dr Ben Gauntlett. Its members included disability representative organisations, employers, service provider peak bodies, and academics.
