In the much-anticipated DES offers released this week, 42 new organisations have been approved to provide services from mid-way through this year. They will join 100 existing DES providers approved to continue. Of the 42 new organisations, only 10 are current JobActive providers. Sixteen existing DES providers either did not apply or were not successful.

After urging DSS to release the full list of offers, that detail is now available. It shows a high number of offers have been made in many ESAs. The list also provides information on service type and indicates whether an offer is specialist. DES providers should use this list as a tool to assist them whether to accept offers, recognising that in some areas supply may exceed demand.
