The June 2019 Star Ratings were sent to Disability Employment Service (DES) providers in the last week of September 2019 with the direction that the results would remain under embargo until their public release on 2 October 2019.  A further communication from the department on 1 October 2019 advised that the public release would not be proceeding and that the Star Rating results would continue to be under embargo.  NDS contacted DSS for clarification about the email.  The response to date is that the results will not be made public, however this situation may change in the future. No reason was given for the decision.NDS will continue to communicate with DSS to ascertain the rationale behind withholding the Star Ratings. NDS members have greeted the news with a range of responses. Some have welcomed the public release of the Star Ratings while others are concerned about their validity due to the short time frame for results. NDS will continue to keep abreast of this situation and inform members of any developments. Please contact Kerrie Langford () or Jason McKey () if you would like to discuss further.
