New Supported Independent Living (SIL) items following a positive diagnosis

If a participant living in SIL is diagnosed with COVID-19, access to new support items is triggered.

A positive diagnosis of a participant living in SIL allows the provider to claim:

This item may be claimed throughout a participant's period of infection (based on number of days from diagnosis to negative test result), whether they are located in their normal accommodation, in hospital, or isolated in alternative accommodation. The item is in addition to the usual claim for SIL costs, which can continue to be claimed if the participant is residing in alternative accommodation or is in hospital.
