Employment service providers are advised that the NDIA has increased NDIS prices and price limits by almost 9 per cent to take effect from 1 July 2022.

Further to NDS CEO's recent update, employment service providers are advised that the NDIA has increasedNDIS prices and price limits by almost 9 per cent, to take effect from 1 July 2022.The rates for supports in employment prices for core supports are identified in the new NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (previously the price guide) from page 61 and the capacity-building employment supports from page 82.It is important to note that the increases in supports in employment price rates do not necessarily equate to a nine per cent increase in all instances. For example, the base hourly rate for supports in employment has increased by 8.5 per cent from $57.30 to $62.17, a difference of $4.87 per hour. The equivalent temporary transformation payment (TTP) rate has increased from $59.88 to $64.04, an increase of $4.16 per hour. As scheduled, the TTP will drop to 3 per cent from 1 July 2022.  The TTP loading will then decrease to 1.5 per cent from 1 July 2023. After that financial year, it will be phased out completely. The NDIA has confirmed that funds remaining in participant budgets will be increased by the relevant indexation rates from 1 July 2022.Following the presentation by Mary Hawkins of the NDIA at the NDS Employment Conference, we can confirm that current School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) and the price rates will remain in place for the remainder of 2022.
