CEO Meeting 2017: Get the latest on the state of the disability sector and take part in an NDIA Q&A

spotlight on stage

27/11/2017

For a comprehensive analysis of the state of the disability sector and an update on the NDIS, don't miss this year's CEO Meeting.

On opening day, NDS Chief Executive Ken Baker will launch the NDS State of the Disability Sector report for 2017. This year's report paints a picture of a sector in reform. For most this means the NDIS, while for some it means the new Disability Employment Services program. Both reforms expand competition and consumer choice and mean the ground on which disability service providers operate is shifting.

The data shows most disability service providers support the direction of change, but they feel under immense pressure. They find staff hard to recruit, the policy environment is uncertain and they lack the working capital required to grow and change. Only four in 10 rate their financial condition as 'strong' or 'very strong'. For more findings from NDS's latest Annual Market Survey, come along to the CEO Meeting to receive a copy of the 2017 State of the Disability Sector report.

Providing an NDIS update on day two of the conference will be newly-appointed NDIA CEO Rob De Luca. Before joining the NDIA in August this year, Mr De Luca was the Managing Director of Bankwest – a position he held for five years. An experienced banker, he has also been the Executive General Manager of Corporate Financial Services at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) and CEO of ASB Group Investments in New Zealand, and the Senior Executive responsible for CBA eCommerce and Ventures. Don’t miss this opportunity to take part in an NDIS Q&A session at a crucial time for the sector.
