Addressing an audience of 600 attendees at the NDS CEO Meeting, Minister for Families and Social Services Paul Fletcher and Shadow Minister for Families and Social Services Linda Burney emphasised the importance of advice from the non-government sector during this period of immense change and reform. Both referred to NDS’s State of the Disability Sector Report.

He referred to findings in the recently released NDIS Quarterly Report which show that the NDIS continues to grow at a rapid pace. At the end of September 2018, the NDIS had 208,793 participants, almost one in three of whom were receiving disability support for the very first time. He said the NDIS remains within budget and is fully-funded.
