The WA Government has announced that it will continue its partnership with the Commonwealth government to deliver fee-free TAFE and Vocational Education and Training places to Western Australians over the next three years.

Under the partnership, a further 22,200 fee-free training places will be available from January 2024, with the disability sector an identified priority.

In 2024, fee free training will continue to be available across 130 courses, with all Western Australians eligible to access the program through TAFE colleges and selected private training providers.

The partnership began this year as the Free in ‘23 initiative to help build Western Australia’s workforce in priority industry areas, including aged and disability care, early childhood education and care, and health care.

Anyone can apply by going to the course description page on the Jobs and Skills WA website to find the closest TAFE or training provider offering the fee-free training.

Fee-free skill sets

Fee-free certificates

In addition, there are also 18 half-price certificate level qualifications relevant to community, care and support work. You can apply for these on the course page.
