9 News reports that, despite efforts to access important and life-changing services, many people with disability in Australia are feeling let down by the NDIS.

The report features Jess Cochran, who has been trying to gain access to an electric wheelchair via the NDIS, but waited two years to receive that support. And many more people are in similar circumstances.

NDS Acting CEO David Moody speaks on NDS’s lobbying efforts to Government to improve outcomes for people accessing the Scheme: “We need to address the question of NDIS prices. The prices, in our view, are too lean and uneconomic to allow for the provision of quality services.”

The report also features Kirsten Deane of Every Australian Counts and Terri Carroll of provider MiLife-Victoria.
