Victorian COVID-19 advice: Queensland hotspot
11/01/2021
DHHS has issued advice following National Cabinet’s declaration on 8 January that Greater Brisbane is a hotspot after the discovery of a case with the UK variant of COVID-19.
The hotspot covers the local government areas of Brisbane City, Moreton Bay Regional Council, Redland, Ipswich and Logan City Councils.
Service providers should ensure screening processes can identify anyone who has arrived into Victoria and has visited Great Brisbane hotspots on or since Saturday, 2 January.
Anyone identified:
- Must not be permitted access to sites.
- Must be advised to get tested for COVID-19 as soon as possible, even if they have no symptoms, and remain at home or their place of accommodation until advised by DHHS of the outcomes of their test result.
DHHS request providers email the contact details of those who require testing to HSCRRC_outbreak@dhhs.vic.gov.au
A list of COVID-19 testing sites and further information regarding COVID-19 is available on the DHHS website or by calling 1800 675 398.
