Mallee (Swan Hill) NDIS Implementation Workshop #1

Registration is open for the first NDIS Implementation Workshop in Mallee (Swan Hill).
NDS invites service delivery and NDIS intake managers, team leaders and frontline managers to the workshop, which was designed to support disability service providers as they commence NDIS implementation.
The session will provide:
- Up-to-date news from key NDIS stakeholders
- A question and answer panel with presenters
- An opportunity to network with your peers from across the sector during breaks and lunch
- A presentation on the new Quality and Safeguard arrangements and extended session discussing Psychosocial Disability under the NDIS
NDIS Quality and Safeguards - Presentation:
This presentation will provide an overview of the new Quality and Safeguard arrangements, your role and obligations as an NDIS provider, and the function of the NDIS Commission.
Psychosocial Disability under the NDIS - Presentation:
This presentation will provide a broad overview of how people with a Mental Health diagnosis can access psychosocial disability supports through the NDIS. The session will build an awareness of the defined Mental Health programs whose client’s may automatically transition into the Scheme and the evidence required for participants testing their eligibility to access the Scheme. Along with; the difference between core and capacity building supports available in a participant plan, and how the Mental Health sector and the NDIS interface with each other, and with other service sectors. This session will be valuable for all providers working across the disability sector and as well as Mental Health specific organisations.
Who should attend?
The workshop is most appropriate for service delivery and NDIS intake managers, team leaders and frontline managers along with strategic leaders of organisations. It is not suited for NDIS participants, their families, carers or frontline staff.
Give your organisation the best chance to transition to and operate in the NDIS market by making the most of our sector development projects resources and activities. NDS members will continue to receive support when our funded sector support wraps up. Visit the NDS membership page for more information on becoming a member.
