Hurry - Workforce Census data collection closes 3 March

Reads: NDS Workforce Census

1/03/2021

NDS's biannual Workforce Census is closing on Wednesday and we need your participation to help us advocate on behalf of disability service providers.

Please, enter your data here.

Questions can be reviewed if you would like to first coordinate the information sought.

It is only with the input of providers across Australia that NDS can continue to advocate on your behalf on the key workforce issues affecting our sector. Created to fill a major gap in available workforce data, the NDS’s Workforce Census provides reputable data that is used by providers, governments and the wider sector.

The Census delivers real, practical and timely data, such as:

  • The number of workers in different types of employment
  • The change in the number of permanent and casual workers
  • The age and gender of workers

Every participating organisation will receive an individual report, benchmarking your workforce profile against comparable organisations (by size).

As we reported in the 2020 State of the Disability Sector Report, almost 70 per cent of disability service providers who responded had to turn away requests for services because they did not have the capacity to provide them.  With all Australian states and territories now at full scheme, the disability workforce will need to double in size over the next three years, just to keep pace with the forecast increase in demand for services.

Please don’t delay - the Workforce Census closes on Wednesday, 3 March at 5:00pm AWST.

Don’t miss your chance to participate in the Workforce Census.

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to sharing results with you in April.
