The workplace literacy project. Girl writing and looking up at the laptop

In 2017-18, NDS Tasmania was funded by 26TEN to develop a Train-the-Trainer program. The aim was for supervisors and/or managers to learn how to deliver short, targeted training sessions in-house. This approach can reduce the cost of training, and tailor sessions specific to the organisation’s needs.

The materials cover two workshops. In the first, participants learn to deliver the NDS Team Meeting Training Sessions, which focus on simple workplace literacy tasks. They then run a training session in their workplace. The group comes back together for a second day to evaluate their training sessions, learn about group dynamics, and begin designing their own session using a structured approach.

The program is designed to be facilitated by an experienced trainer, and may be aligned with delivery of SIRXTAD001 Train others in frontline tasks. The program materials are available to download below.
