13/12/2022

Addressing key recommendations of a report from the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, the new Working with Children (Criminal Record Checking) Amendment Act 2022 will strengthen protections for children in WA from harm from people who work with them. However, the new regulations may affect current Working with Children cardholders.

The Amendment Bill passed through both Houses of the Western Australian Parliament in November and received Royal Assent last week.
