Warning: this update contains references to abuse, including sexual assault.

On the final day, the Royal Commission heard from an NDIA panel, as well as representatives of Legal Aid and Police from Tasmania.

A panel of NDIA General Managers and Branch Managers was questioned about the Agency's focus on gender and domestic and family violence (DFV).

On the issue of rates of family violence among NDIS participants, the panel was asked about increased risk of DFV to women with disability during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The witnesses acknowledged this was the case, but when asked about specific numbers said DFV data could not be easily separated from the critical incident data, which they have access to.
