The hearing opened with Marmingee Hand and her husband Geoff Davies who provide support for their family member, Tristan. He is a young adult with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). Tristan dreams of getting his driver's licence to become more independent in his gardening and mowing business. Geoff drives the work vehicle and provides mentoring and business support for Tristan and his team.
