11/03/2022

The Disability Royal Commission held an oral submissions hearing day relating to public hearing 19 on employer and regulator responses to barriers to open employment. The hearing was not connected to the recent DES case study hearing. The DES system itself was not under consideration at the current hearing. All disability providers should consider themselves at least prospective employers of people with disability.

Counsel Assisting summarised their written submissions and Commissioners questioned government and employer legal representatives. No witnesses appeared.
