What you need to know

  • Free Influenza vaccinations at clinics around Tasmania from 4th June
  • Continuing free COVID-19 and booster vaccinations
The Tasmanian Government has announced free influenza vaccinations for all Tasmanians aged six months and over.

There are various community clinics throughout Tasmania where free flu and COVID-19 vaccinations are available.

People who are eligible for a booster or a winter COVID-19 vaccination can book to receive both vaccines on the same day or close together.

Tasmanians have high levels of vaccination against COVID-19 and increasing the flu vaccination rates will provide individuals with better protection against severe respiratory illness.

The vaccine also reduces the chance of spreading the flu, which means protection is extended to the wider Tasmanian community.

This weekend, there are a number of clinics running across the State to ensure increased access to flu vaccinations for Tasmanians.

Clinics include:

  • June 4-5, MyState Bank Arena, Glenorchy from 9am to 4.30pm
  • June 4-5, Launceston, 12-14 St John St from 9am to 4.30pm
  • June 4, Hobart City, 109 Collins St from 9am to 4.30pm
  • June 4, Ulverstone Civic Centre from 10am to 3.30pm
  • June 4, Margate Primary School from 10am to 3.30pm
