Victorian Reportable Conduct Scheme Review and Consultation Session
The Victorian Reportable Conduct Scheme (RCS) aims to improve oversight of how organisations respond to allegations of child abuse and child-related misconduct.
The scheme includes requirements that in-scope organisations investigate and report all allegations of reportable conduct to the Commission for Children and Young People.
Disability service providers in Victoria fall under the scope of the scheme.
Five years into the scheme's implementation, the Government is conducting a review to consider:
- If other organisations should be added to the RCS
- If critical elements in the RCS have been operating as intended
- How stakeholders have experienced the scheme.
NDS proposes to provide a submission to the review and is eager to gather feedback from the sector to inform our advocacy. Please send any comments or feedback by Friday 14 October 2022: submit enquiry/feedback
