Provider peaks jointly call for action on NDIS pricing

Close up of two people shaking hands

With financial reserves dwindling across the sector and more quality organisations slipping into deficits, the sustainability of NDIS support hangs in the balance. The 2023–24 NDIS Annual Pricing Review is an opportunity to support sustainability and drive quality.

Given the urgency of the issues, we have joined with provider peak bodies and our respective members to develop a joint statement. We call on the NDIA and government to:

  • set prices that sustain the sector, which will send a message to providers to stay the course and invest in the future
  • create the future market we want, where service quality and provider accountability are important, not just the number of providers
  • set up a pricing approach that is independent and underpinned by sound cost modelling
  • fund sector transformation and structural adjustments for NDIS reforms
  • continue to support the rights and inclusion of people with disability.

We ask all NDS members to write to their federal MPs and state and territory disability ministers to support our advocacy and make sure that decision-makers hear directly from providers about the impact of prices on the participants that they support, their staff and their organisation.
