If you are a provider with a story or a solution to share, we want to hear about the work you have done to drive your organisation into the future. By filling out a call-for-papers form and submitting an abstract of up to 300 words by close of business Friday 10 February, you can contribute to this years' Regional and Remote Conference in Darwin. Poster and video extracts will also be accepted. A programming committee will review and shortlist submissions.   

This year’s conference in Darwin on 14 March will focus on the opportunities for disability service providers in regional and remote areas. Early-bird registrations are open. Secure your tickets today! 

The conference will explore topics of special concern and urgency for regional and remote providers:  

  • workforce sourcing and retention   
  • good service provision     
  • effective engagement with communities and cultures  
  • culturally secure practices. 

Those unable to travel to Darwin can connect to the conference livestream. 

NT Disability Hot Topics Breakfast 

To complement the conference program, we invite members to the NDS NT Disability Hot Topics Breakfast on Tuesday 14 March. Over a delicious breakfast at the Darwin Convention Centre, NDS CEO Laurie Leigh will take you through key themes and issues in the recent State of the Disability Report, how they affect providers in the Northern Territory, and what is being done to address them.

Time: 7:30am to 8:55am (Arrive from 7:00am ACST) 
Location: Room 3 and 4, Darwin Convention Centre
