Occupational Violence in Victoria - Scoping the Issue

There are growing concerns about the incidence of occupational violence against workers in the disability sector. In response, NDS has received Victorian Government funding to run a project to scope issues and build sector capacity to address occupational violence involving workers who provide support to residents receiving daily independent living supports.
This session will provide an opportunity for disability service organisations to provide feedback on key issues, concerns, and challenges, and begin scoping initial strategies to address violence and aggression towards workers in our sector.
Findings from this consultation session will inform NDS’s project work to assist providers to reduce and mitigate the risk of occupational violence in their organisations.
Who should attend?
NDS invites senior leaders, operational managers, occupational health and safety officers and representatives, behaviour support practitioners, and other interested parties from Victorian disability service providers to attend this session.
