Exploring Housing Options – Knowing what people want

Having our basic physiological needs meet including security in food, shelter, clothing and sleep are seen as most basic foundation in the hierarchy of needs.

However, to ensure people thrive and enjoy a high-quality of life we need to understand what is important to them in terms of housing, this being so much more than just a room over your head.

Come join us at the next Board and Senior Leaders as we explore ways to assist people to identify what is important to them.

This presentation will be led by VALID’s Manager of the Self Advocacy Program and a colleague from the My Housing Plan project. They will discuss the codesign approach they use develop the My Housing Pan project and trends they have identified from other self-advocacy and empowerment work they have done to investigate individual satisfaction with SDA and SIL support.

This presentation will be followed by Joseph Connellan, who will provide an overview of current SDA data, implications on current and future trends and possibilities arising from reforms highlighted in the NDIS Review
