The establishment of the new Gig Worker Support Service comes out of recommendations in the Inquiry into the On-Demand Workforce report submitted to the Victorian Government in June 2020. It has been established to coincide with the commencement of the Fair Conduct and Accountability Standards arising from the same inquiry, which apply from 1 May.
