CEO Update: NDIS reform process gathers momentum

A message from NDS CEO, Laurie Leigh

It’s been a busy month on the road for me, speaking at our Hot Topics breakfast events from Perth to Canberra to Brisbane, and taking the opportunity to meet with many members in person. I also spent some time in Canberra ahead of the Federal Budget. There’s a lot of change on the way as various reviews start to gather momentum, and I know many of you are following the NDIS reform process with great interest. Below are some of the key developments we have been tracking.

This week the Federal Government released the draft National Strategy for the Care and Support Economy, which aims to be an all-encompassing strategy for the care and support sector – including disability, aged care, veterans' services and early childhood education.
