Analysis of NDIS 2022-2023 Pricing Arrangements and Limits

NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits for 2022-23 contains some positive news and some areas that will require further examination.

The pricing changes which take effect from 1 July include a 9 per cent increase across a range of provider prices. The commitment to increase participant plans to cover changes in prices will be welcomed by both participants and providers. 

In addition, Minister Shorten also announced $514 million for activity in the current financial year to support registered providers in quality and safeguarding costs and improving their business processes, for example, with rostering systems.The NDIA will contact registered providers next week to inform them of the amount they will be offered (around 6% of their NDIS income). The payment will be contingent on provider’s agreement that the payment does not exceed the additional costs providers incurred in the current financial year for:
