NDS Workforce Census report shows critical need for allied health workers

NDS has released its latest Workforce Census report, which has revealed alarming shortages and increasing staff turnover rates of allied health workers across the country.

The December 2021 Workforce Census covered a period where the sector found itself again subject to widespread COVID-19 restrictions (especially in NSW and Victoria), which were not eased until late 2021.

There was an increase in casual turnover rates and a reduction in hours worked per week, but little change in the rate of sector permanent, full-time, and part-time employment.
