Over the past four years Workforce planning and HR has been the top business capability development need identified by providers in successive NDS State of the Disability Sector reports. Challenges in attracting, retaining, supporting and managing disability workers are well known and documented.

Whilst there are no easy solutions, the National Workforce Community of Practice supports NDS member organisations to keep abreast of disability workforce developments and opportunities. It provides a forum for members to share challenges, ideas and solutions. Participation in the CoP ensures that information about new developments, disability initiatives or other opportunities reach interested members of the Community.
