Who is this for?

This is ideal for providers with staff who are new to working in disability as well as staff who work in non-frontline roles but could still benefit from general disability awareness training.

Courses available as part of this package

There are four eLearning modules, each running for 20 minutes:

Course One: Myths and Misconceptions

The first course in the Disability Awareness course, Myths and Misconceptions, dismantles common stereotypes and misbeliefs about people with disability. Learners will see how they can be better allies to people with disability.

Course Two: How to Foster True and Meaningful Inclusion

What does true and meaningful inclusion mean? The second course in the Disability Awareness training looks at how we are responsible for inclusion—and what we can do to build a more inclusive world.

Course Three: The Impact of Barriers for People with Disability

People with disability often face societal, environmental/physical, attitudinal, and communication barriers. This course examines what these barriers are and how we can all work towards removing them.

Course Four: The Landscape of Disability in Australia

Disability support and the way disability is viewed in Australia has changed over time. Course Four, the last module, chronicles the history of disability in Australia, how it has changed and what people with disability are looking for when it comes to support.
