NDS State of the Sector data tells us that providers have been very accurate in predicting their operating result for the next 12 months. In the latest State of the Sector report (December 2022), there has been a 50 per cent increase in the number of providers expecting to make a loss on previous years. Compared to 23 per cent last year, 36 per cent of providers expect to make a loss in Financial Year 2023. Therefore, it is more important than ever that the NDIA have accurate data on pricing in the sector.
