To assist the disability sector to continue to deliver quality supports to those who need it during the COVID-19 pandemic, NDS has been funded by the ACT Office for Disability to deliver a service that links community organisations with excess workforce to other organisations facing workforce shortages.

NDS’s matching service assists community organisations that might otherwise have to stand staff down with disability support providers that are experiencing staff shortages.

The Register works as follows:

Any organisation with available excess staff with disability support experience or transferrable skills is encouraged to send an email: submit enquiry/feedback. Please include:
  • your name
  • organisation
  • contact details
  • number of staff employed
  • a brief description of the service area you operate in.

Your email will be acknowledged, and details will then be transferred to the ACT COVID-19 Disability Workforce Register (below).

Any organisation requiring temporary staff due to COVID-19 impacts on workforce is encouraged in the first instance to contact any of the Register Providers. Should you require assistance beyond this then please contact us: submit enquiry/feedback.

Should any two organisations enter into a formal workforce sharing agreement please advise: submit enquiry/feedback so that register information can be updated if necessary.

Supporting Documents

  • NDS’s HR/IR partner, WorkplacePLUS has drafted a proforma Service Agreement [Word] which may assist organisations in formalising their sharing of staff.
  • Additionally, NDS are providing a de-identified Memorandum of Understanding used in a workforce sharing arrangement which can also be used as a template.
  • Either form can be used, or providers may use their own service agreement.

Workforce Register (Providers)

The following support providers have designated themselves as willing to assist with and may have workforce available. If you would like to be added to this list please contact the NDS workforce administrator: submit enquiry/feedback
