Part of the promise of the NDIS has been to maximise choice and control over services by people with disability. NDIS Practice Standards also require organisations to more actively communicate, engage and empower people to exercise choice.

Service providers are already exploring ways to better involve people in service design and delivery. This half-day workshop is designed for organisations just starting that journey and looking for ways to increase decision-making opportunities.

The health check can be used develop an action plan and make decisions about organisational change and continuous improvement.

At this practical workshop, attendees will complete an involvement health check that looks at:

  • NDIS requirements
  • Challenges and barriers to inclusive decision makers
  • Policy settings
  • Engagement methods and processes
  • Opportunities for co-design

Presenter profile
Alison Blake is the Managing Director of Strategic Support and Chair of the Quality and Safeguarding Community of Practice and has worked in the disability sector for 10 years in the areas of strategy, quality and engagement.
