Complexity: NDS Professional Community of Practice Meetings
The Complexity CoP focuses on the operational issues emerging for organisations that support people with complex needs. Complex needs may include people who require services from other sectors, have behaviours of concern, have multiple disabilities, or who are from different cultural or language backgrounds. As there are significant levels of ambiguity for organisations supporting people with complex needs, CoP attendees have found the collaborative environment to be very helpful and informative.
Other topics discussed amongst the CoP include:
- Emerging interface issues
- Supporting people to find secure housing
- Identifying programs that may be at risk in the NDIS
- Emergency and crisis supports
There will be a CoP meeting every two months. Please register to attend the next meeting or contact Anthea Gellie, details below, to register your interest to hear about future meetings.
Meetings are a great opportunity for providers to tap into good practice and hear how other organisations are responding to key emerging issues. Join the Community of Practice to be part of these conversations.
Who should attend?
NDS recommends that operations managers, frontline managers, and frontline staff working with people with complex needs are most suited to attend. Attendance is free, however bookings are essential
Please note: Organisations must be NDIS-registered providers in Victoria to attend.
