Managing the Omicron Wave: Practical considerations in administering Rapid Antigen Tests in the ACT
The Disability sector is particularly vulnerable to the impact of COVID-19. It is important to employ all measures to reduce the spread of the highly transmissible COVID-19 Omicron variant.
Rapid Antigen Tests (known as RATs) are screening tests used to potentially identify positive cases earlier to help reduce the spread of the virus and prevent outbreaks. However, they are not as reliable as PCR tests and it is important that you follow the instructions carefully in order to get an accurate result.
All ACT Disability Service Providers (members and non-members) are invited to this special event.
The event will include a general update on the current COVID-19 situation, a video on safely administering rapid antigen tests, and an update and advice from the ACT Senior Practitioner. There will also be an open question-and-answer session where providers will have the opportunity to discuss issues relevant to managing the current Omicron wave.
