Developing a Quality Management System: The Basics
Under the NDIS Practice Standards, providers are required to have a Quality Management System in place that supports continuous quality improvement.
Designed for organisations or staff who may be implementing a quality management system for the first time this interactive workshop will:
- outline the key elements of a QMS
- provide tips and tools to support you to develop and implement a QMS that is fit-for-purpose
- outline the types of evidence that can help you demonstrate that your QMS is effective.
The session will be facilitated by NDS's NSW Sector Support and Development Consultant, Jenny Klause. Jenny has worked in the world of quality for many years and has extensive experience in supporting organisations to commence their quality journey.
To complement this workshop, we will be hosting a subsequent session - Implementing a Quality Management System: In Practice on Tuesday, 11 May. In this workshop, we will be joined by experienced quality managers who will share how they developed, implemented, and refined their organisations quality management system and what they learned along the way.
Who should attend?
NDS recommends that anyone within disability service organisations who may be implementing a quality management system are most suited to attend.
