NDS is hosting an online seminar on Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices in South Australia—NDIS funded supports and services with guest speakers from the NDIA, the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, the Office of the Public Advocate and the South Australian Department of Human Services.

The seminar will focus on the following topics:

  • Behaviour Support & Restrictive Practices - NDIS Commission
  • NDIS Funding for Behaviour Support – NDIA
  • Current Consent & Authorisation Framework for Restrictive Practices in SA – OPA
  • Planned changes to Authorisation of Restrictive Practices in South Australia - DHS

The panel will answer questions from the attendees at the end of the session. Please see the draft program.

Who Should Attend?

Anyone working to support NDIS participants with behaviours of concern, including the development of behaviour support plans and needing to seek authorisation of restrictive practices. In addition, quality and compliance personnel who may be responsible for developing policies and procedures for their service.
