Now in its fifth year, the 2017 NDS Annual Symposium is a key event on the NDS calendar.

This year’s Annual Symposium will incorporate a key note address by Luke Branagan from JBWere, as well as the 2017 Future Leaders Program graduation.

About the keynote:

Building a philanthropic strategy to deliver outcomes:

Viability is an important issue in the disability sector as we transition to the NDIS. Some providers already do and others will seek support for longer term initiatives from the philanthropic sector and other funding sources. As funding sources look to partners and projects that deliver outcomes, success with this will be more likely if the sector strengthens its focus on measuring its impact.

Luke Branagan works with JBWere to provide strategic advice to not-for-profit institutions, and individuals and their families with an interest in philanthropy. Prior to joining JBWere, Luke was the Executive Manager of the MLC Community Foundation, where he led the evolution of the strategic direction of the Foundation to focus on mental health outcomes. During Luke’s tenure, the Foundation was recognised as a philanthropic leader in measuring social outcomes, driven by innovative approaches to measurement and impact investment. Luke was also a member of NAB’s Corporate Responsibility Leadership team. Prior to this role Luke led the community program at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.

About the graduation:

The NDS 2017 Future Leaders Program graduation ceremony will be held from 7:00pm. Graduates are invited to attend the whole event on the NDS member ticket, however if you wish to just attend the presentation ceremony, please select the Graduation Only ticket at time of booking.
