The disability sector workforce is currently being challenged as never before, in the throes of a pandemic that touches every aspect of our lives. In perhaps the most disruptive period that most of us will experience in our lifetime, having an eye to the future is as important to our well-being as it is to our professional prospects.

At some point, a version of normality will resume. What will it look like for us? What changes can we expect? What are the lessons from this current crisis, and what kind of workforce will be required to satisfy the aspirations of the people we serve in the future?

In this conference we will be talking to some of the leading thinkers in the sector about the implications of COVID-19. We will learn of the challenges we may face and how to address them, as well as the directions that workforce might take in the future.

By attending you will:

  • Hear from disability leaders on the COVID-19 fall-out, NDIS workforce development initiatives and digital innovation;

  • Learn from the experiences of people with disability and their views on the services they expect;

  • Learn from, and have your questions answered by workforce experts about innovative solutions, new business models, and rural, remote and regional workforces;

  • Gain new contacts to network across disability sector;

  • Access new tools, ongoing learning and business supports; and

  • Find out the latest product and service developments from our conference partners.

View presentations from sector experts as they are released throughout the live event day on Thursday, 28 May 2020 or access presentations on demand for 30 days following the event.
