Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act 1991: An overview The Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (the Act) makes certain types of discrimination, sexual harassment, vilification, and victimisation unlawful in Queensland.

An awareness of the Act, it’s implications and mechanisms as they apply to people with disability, the participants we work with and our workplaces is integral, particularly in light of the anticipated recommendations and focus on Human Rights by the Disability Royal Commission.

Join Claudia Diaz Amayo, Project Officer, Engagement and Corporate Services from the Queensland Human Rights Commission to learn about what is covered by the Act, when and where discrimination is unlawful and how the Human Rights Commission can assist in complaints about behaviour that contravenes the Act.

Attendees will have an opportunity for Q and A with the panellists at the end of the session.

Who Should Attend?

Anyone working in the disability sector in Queensland.
