Support Coordination: NDS Professional Community of Practice Meetings

Colleagues standing and having a conversation
Location: Victoria (online)
Date: 25/08/2022

The Support Coordination Community of Practice (CoP) focuses on sharing practical advice amongst support coordinators and professionals working in other key operational roles in disability organisations.

Support Coordinators will have the opportunity to share insights and recommendations for change to the DRC on three topics during the Breakout Rooms.

During the Registration process  you will be asked for your Breakout Room preference. We will do our best to put people with the preferred topic.

The three topics are:

  • Experience of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) People with Disability
  • Homelessness, Rooming houses and Supported Residential Services
  • Guardianship, Substituted and Supported Decision-making
We have Auslan services at the meeting. Please contact me if you require Auslan for your Breakout Room. A counsellor will also be available during the meeting for anyone who wishes to make contact with them.

Who should attend?

Support coordinators, team leaders and operations managers are welcome to attend this event, along with those working closely with support coordinators. These meetings are a great opportunity for providers to tap into good practice and hear how other organisations are responding to key emerging issues.
