Presentation: Provider Travel and Participant Transport
This presentation will explain the difference between provider travel and participant transport. We’ll explore the NDIS provider travel policy, highlighting circumstances where providers may be able to recover travel costs and ways to increase efficiencies where they cannot.
Workshop: Requesting a Plan Review and Responding to Emergencies
Disability service providers may be asked to support participants during scheduled and unscheduled plan reviews. This session will outline the circumstances, expectations, process and timelines of requesting an unscheduled plan review, as well as considerations when preparing for a scheduled review.
In addition, we’ll explore the role of service providers and their duty of care in crisis or emergency situations, the flexibility of NDIS funding, the responsibilities of other service sectors and the role of the National Disability Insurance Agency in responding to crisis.
Presentation: Psychosocial Disability under the NDIS
This presentation will provide a broad overview of how mental health will be incorporated into the NDIS. The session will build an awareness of the defined mental health programs that automatically transition into the Scheme, the supports available to participants with psychosocial disabilities when accessing the Scheme, and the Agency’s strategies in overcoming the distinct challenges associated with the mental health and NDIS interface.
