Finance: NDS Professional Community of Practice Meetings
Meetings with the Finance CoP touch on a number of critical finance topics, ranging from the practicalities of using the provider portal, to analysing the viability of various NDIS services, and working with the whole organisation around operating within capped prices. The role of financial planning for disability services is increasingly important as organisations transition to the NDIS. This CoP facilitates open conversations amongst professionals in finance roles around how to approach crucial decisions in this changing environment.
Since the Finance CoP began meeting in mid-2016, attendees have discussed the following topics:
- Troubleshooting the portal
- Plan reviews
- Contract cutting
- Service agreements
- Working with staff around new reporting requirements
There will be a CoP meeting every two months. Please register to attend the next meeting or contact Anthea Gellie, details below, to register your interest to hear about future meetings.

NDS recommends that finance managers, operations managers, and others in finance roles are most suited to attend. Please note, organisations must be NDIS-registered providers in Victoria to attend.
