NDIA seeks input on future of Partners in the Community program

The NDIA is seeking input on the future of its Partner in the Community (PITC) program. An information paper provides an overview of key services the NDIA would seek these Partners to deliver in the future.

Input is sought from current Partners (which include early childhood and LAC services), potential future Partners and the broader sector on:

  • The extension of PITC Partner support into some remote communities
  • Ways to improve specialist service delivery
  • The proposed funding model to support flexible responses to participant needs

The information paper steps through a series of ‘critical functions' of early childhood and LAC supports. The proposed changes respond to recommendations from the Tune Review and Independent Advisory Council, and participant and sector feedback.

NDS will be making a submission. Input should be provided to Philippa Angley  submit enquiry/feedback by 12 November.

Providers can also input directly via the NDIS website until 19 November 2021. The NDIA’s response to feedback will be published before the end of the year, and changes to the PITC program will be considered ahead of a proposed sourcing activity in early 2022.

Online sessions for input from interested organisations will be held from 1 November. Introductory sessions are also available for organisations seeking general background information on the PITC program.

The provision of feedback does not affect an organisation’s ability to participate as a Partner in the future.
