National Employment Supports (Social Enterprise) Community of Practice

This is a period of great change for providers of supports in employment (Social Enterprises). In April 2022 the Disability Royal Commission (during hearing 22) examined the experience of people of people with disability in engaging with Australian Disability Enterprise. We expect to hear the recommendations (as result of the evidence provided) in the near future. These recommendations are likely to focus on the current setting of supported employment and moving towards minimum wage.Additionally, in late December last year, the Fair Work Commission released their final decision in relation to the SES Award and the new wage determination mechanism. Transition will commence on June 30, 2023, and is to be concluded by 30 June 2026.This coming year it will be imperative that providers stay across these changes and contribute to designing the way forward. The Employment Supports (Social Enterprise) Community of Practices will feature updates on national policy development and issues and provide the opportunity for service providers to share good practice, discuss the latest policies and reporting requirements, and raise issues impacting supported employees.

Social Enterprise providers, providers of supports in employment, and Senior Leaders.
