Understanding Participant Plans and Plan Implementation

This presentation will firstly discuss how to read and interpret a participant plan. Together we will explore the flexible use of funding in the plan, using scenarios to highlight the flexibility within a plan and the different ways funds can be used to achieve a tailored individual solutions for a participant. Time will be allocated to explore the role of participant’s goals and how your organisation might use these goals in determining appropriate supports. Secondly, the session will explore the process of plan implementation. The varying roles of the Local Area Coordinator, Plan Manager and Support Coordinator will be discussed.

Provider Travel and Participant Transport

This presentation will explain the difference between provider travel and participant transport and how these costs can be claimed under the NDIS. It will explore the NDIS provider travel policy, highlighting circumstances where providers may be able to recover travel costs and ways to increase efficiencies where they cannot. Attendees will have the opportunity to apply their learning by completing an activity.
